Before We Start

Who should do this?

If you follow these steps, you will be opting to use your existing template. To be certain, you should only opt to integrate updates if you have done major customization to your systems, and/or enjoy getting to know your system more intimately by building improvements yourself. Otherwise, you can consider migrating data into the latest version of the system.

You’ll have a lot of control over which improvements you want to integrate, so the time to update is unpredictable. Schedule some time and have some fun!

Understand The Updates

Absorb what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is essentially your own.

First, read the latest update notes. Look for the current version, open it up and you'll notice that we have 3 types of upgrades: New Templates, Enhancements, and Bug Fixes. Each type will have a different implementation strategy, and you can pick and choose which one you want to integrate to your template.
